The Valdarno is a vast territory that includes all the lands crossed by the river. The area where the restaurant "Il Cenacolo" is located is that of the Upper Valdarno, or the first part of the river, in the heart of Tuscany.
Thanks to the abundant presence of water, the whole area has been densely populated since the most remote times. Agriculture and breeding were and still remain an important source of livelihood for the small local villages. From here come salumi, vegetables, meat and honey of excellent quality. The historical events that have affected the area have left behind wonderful testimonies of art, culture, architecture and taste.
