The village of Cavriglia is a small pearl of the Valdarno that has preserved intact some important testimonies of the past. The restaurant "Il Cenacolo" is located right in the heart of its old town, in the shadow of the church bell tower. This is the parish church of San Giovanni Battista, an imposing stone structure dating back to the Roman period. At that time Cavriglia was crossed by an important way of communication. Inside the church there is also a small museum of sacred art.
Around the village lies the typical Tuscan countryside with olive groves and vineyards, Mediterranean scrub and fresh woods. Cavriglia is one of the gateways to the Chianti area as well as home to numerous agricultural companies. On the territory are produced quality wine and olive oil, in addition to the typical foods of the area.
